November 28, 2021Leave a comment

Some days it seems like I have a never-ending list of things to do. This includes things for my business, myself, housework, the dog (yes, even my dog has a to-do list), it honestly never seems to end. I pride myself on being a "list person." I absolutely LOVE making them and I honestly don't … Continue reading 7 Ways to Beat To-Do List Burnout

Using a Toolbox to Store Your Art Supplies For years, I have been storing my art supplies in tool boxes that you can get from any hardware store. It’s been a very busy May working on a bunch of projects in the works. Unfortunately, that also meant not having a lot of time to create art. A little sketchbook mixed media piece I did the other day. ☺️ The weather is finally turning around and the grass is getting greener. What do you like most about spring? Some days you wake up inspired to draw. Today I decided to create this piece of my dog @camaro_theshiba from a photo I took a few months ago. The light was perfect and the snow sprinkles on his face just made the whole scene feel magical. ❄️ Something about drawing and painting oranges makes me think of summer. 😊 I don’t know about you but I’m ready for warmer weather. 🍊☀️ Just a little skull in a sketchbook. 🙂💀 I wanted to explore using different colours on a coloured background to study value and shape. This sketchbook is roughly 8x8 and is the perfect size for me to do a decent sized exploration without feeling too overwhelmed by the size. Did you know that you are 42% more likely to reach a goal if you write it down? Today is International Women’s Day, and while much has been done over the years to fight for the equality of women, there are still places in the world where this is still not the case. I feel very fortunate as a woman living in Canada to have the rights and the freedoms that I do and I wish this gift for every woman on this planet. I teased a small portion of this image a little while ago and now I’m happy to share the full thing. Today’s #marchmeetthemaker prompt is three things. The three drawings in this post were all created with coloured pencil and a different medium.
