Artsnacks December Review

December 29, 20182 Comments

Hey Everyone! This year is coming to a close and with that, my final Artsnacks box review for 2018. It's been an awesome year of getting these boxes, trying new things with different products and most of all challenging myself to create drawings with products and colors I may not have normally put together. Whether … Continue reading Artsnacks December Review

Hey Everyone! Isn't it hard to believe there are less than 2 months left in 2018? I'm not sure where the time has gone, but I know that many things have occurred to make this a really special year for me. I'm especially grateful for all of the new art supplies I have been turned … Continue reading Artsnacks November Review

Hey Everyone! October was Art Supply Christmas at my house with an influx of packages containing all the little items that make my heart so very happy. Hey Everyone! October is fast approaching and with that Inktober! For those of you unfamiliar, Inktober was created by Illustrator Jake Parker 9 years ago as a 31-day challenge to improve his inking skills. It since has grown exponentially popular on Instagram with worldwide participation. In this month's Artsnacks box I received not one, but … Continue reading ARTSNACKS SEPTEMBER BOX REVIEW

It’s been a very busy May working on a bunch of projects in the works. Unfortunately, that also meant not having a lot of time to create art. A little sketchbook mixed media piece I did the other day. ☺️ The weather is finally turning around and the grass is getting greener. What do you like most about spring? Some days you wake up inspired to draw. Today I decided to create this piece of my dog @camaro_theshiba from a photo I took a few months ago. The light was perfect and the snow sprinkles on his face just made the whole scene feel magical. ❄️ Something about drawing and painting oranges makes me think of summer. 😊 I don’t know about you but I’m ready for warmer weather. 🍊☀️ Just a little skull in a sketchbook. 🙂💀 I wanted to explore using different colours on a coloured background to study value and shape. This sketchbook is roughly 8x8 and is the perfect size for me to do a decent sized exploration without feeling too overwhelmed by the size. Did you know that you are 42% more likely to reach a goal if you write it down? Today is International Women’s Day, and while much has been done over the years to fight for the equality of women, there are still places in the world where this is still not the case. I feel very fortunate as a woman living in Canada to have the rights and the freedoms that I do and I wish this gift for every woman on this planet. I teased a small portion of this image a little while ago and now I’m happy to share the full thing. Today’s #marchmeetthemaker prompt is three things. The three drawings in this post were all created with coloured pencil and a different medium.
