My entry for the February 2016 Colored Pencil Magazine Art Challenge, was given another Honorable Mention in the Advanced category. With all of the great interpretations this round I was truly surprised and excited to have received one. I endeavored once again for this challenge to use my own design for the challenge. Typically, stained glass windows are found in churches, and I wanted to preserve an element of faith and mysticism in the design. The addition of the peacocks was symbolic as they have been historically used in myth, legend and lore to represent nobility, holiness, guidance, protection and watchfulness.
